Austin & Hill Country Tour

The Austin & Hill Driving Tour is a 30-mile non-stop tour showcasing the best and most interesting sites in the city. Guests will see and hear about these points of interest from true Austinites who enjoy sharing Austin’s unique qualities and stories with visitors. Additional fee applies.

Technical Tour (Utility attendance only)

Take an exclusive tour of the Austin Energy mass meter exchange and AMR upgrade.  The tour begins with a trip to the Landis & Gyr cross dock facility that functioned as a central logistics and command center for the deployment. Staff will provide an overview of how Austin Energy accomplished the installation of the smart meters, meter activation, mapping to AE CIS for billing and the elimination of manual meter reading.  Next you’ll visit the Austin Energy Call Center where staff will demonstrate the enhanced capabilities a CSR now has as a result of AMR in assisting customers and in providing better customer service.
