Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP) - This initiative supports the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in fulfilling its responsibilities under the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act. SGIP has been directed to identify, prioritize and address new and emerging requirements for Smart Grid standards.
