Awards Program

Each year at Autovation our association recognizes individuals and companies who have made distinctive contributions to the industry and to the association. Nominations are accepted and award recipients are determined by the Awards Committee. 

Excellence in Project Management

The award is presented to the utility company who best exemplifies excellence in project management. Qualifications include: project initiative completed within budget and on-time, challenges encountered and overcome, and benefits realization.

Consumer Outreach Award

This award recognizes excellence in utility consumer outreach programs. It honors those utility companies which have demonstrated the most effective and innovative efforts in this area and have promoted to the general public a better understanding of smart meters and their benefits for the consumer.

Ed Malemezian Utility Professional Best Practices Award

The award is presented as merited, by Utilimetrics to a utility industry professional who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the areas of AMR/AMI, MDM, outage management or revenue protection.

This award was named in memory of Ed Malemezian, a dedicated Utilimetrics volunteer.

Utilimetrics Outstanding Contribution Award

The award recognizes exceptional efforts in the standards arena. Industry participants may nominate any Utilimetrics member for the award, and recipients are selected based on the significance of contributions made toward the development and adoption of AMI and smart grid interoperability standards. Judges consider aspects including technical contributions, leadership during the standards-development process and promotion of interface standards.

Robert J. Green Distinguished Service Award

This award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions toward the mission and goals of Utilimetrics through their extraordinary dedication and leadership.

This award was named in memory of Bob Green, a former Utilimetrics chairman of the board and longtime member.
