Member Testimonials

Read what members say about Utilimetrics:

"Utilimetrics is the leading association in the SMART grid/meter technology space for the utility industry. Its utility membership comprises some of the most innovative leaders across the electric, water and gas industries and its vendor membership is a who's who across all SMART technology platforms.

My Utilimetrics membership has provided me with an unparalleled network of peers, consultants
and providers to help guide my operational decisions as we prepare for tomorrow's technology
investment decisions while leveraging what we already have implemented.   In the end, this membership
has proven well worth the time and investment we made."

"Hydro One is midway in realizing one of the largest technology and business paradigm shifts in its history with over a million meters deployed, time of use rates implemented, large regulatory targets for conservation and demand management identified, and high penetrations of DG anticipated. Utilimetrics is a critical source of information for our utility. The association provides excellent networking, information-sharing and learning opportunities with vendors and utilities alike."

Rick Stevens has been with Hydro One, Ontario, Canada, for 27 years where he currently serves as vice president of asset management. He is a past chairman of the Utilimetrics board of directors.

 Ron Chebra, Utilimetrics

"As a long-term member, I have found the network of professionals who are part of this organization have always been open to sharing knowledge, experiences and insights. This has been extremely valuable both personally and professionally.

Many of my best friends and key knowledge sources for AMR/AMI come from this association.

Active participation creates a foundation for long standing bonds of shared interests; a forum of knowledge and a repository of trusted resources who are leaders in AMR/AMI."

Ron Chebra is director, AMI practice at KEMA and an active member of Utilimetrics for more than 20 years. He is also a past Utilimetrics chairman of the board and Distinguished Service Award recipient.

Clark Pierce, Utilimetrics
"In addition to quality education, one
of the things that sets Utilimetrics apart from other organizations is its
focus on AMI and the AMI function within the smart grid. Not trying to be all things to all people makes Utilimetrics unique among associations.I have also benefited professionally from Autovation, Utilimetrics' annual technology conference and one of the largest gatherings of utility professionals nationally. Its utility-only peer forums provide networking opportunities not available elsewhere.

Several years ago, I moderated a utility-only forum for gas professionals, two of whom contacted me afterward to thank me and say they had saved thousands of dollars on their projects because of lessons learned and shared during the session."

A member of the Utilimetrics board of directors since 2004, Clark Pierce was employed by PSE&G for 18 years where he was the director of customer service and responsible for call centers, field meter reading and meter test lab. He is currently vice president of investor-owned utilities sales for Landis+Gyr.

Membership in Utilimetrics has given me opportunities to network with peers and providers in the industry.

I've been able to learn from other utility professionals, those facing similar challenges
and changes in their business and those who have implemented practical, innovative ideas-from
operations to technology.  Access to this professional network has benefitted my company by
providing practical economic and operational ideas for implementation.
